Pacific Steel Sutton Park Gardening Project
The Pacific Steel Sutton Park School Garden Project has begun! Here are some pictures of the first Digging Day and the first Planting Day plus the very latest pictures from yesterdays' planting day which
witnessed the first 3000 seedlings planted throughout the Sutton Park School Campus. Well done everyone!!!
Many thanks to all of you wonderful Children, Support Staff and Teachers who participated, and to Principal Fiona Cavanagh for allowing this to happen. Also thanks to Sitimi for his garden maintenance assistance. And a very special thanks to Champion Body Builder and Teacher Mary Rahiti for services far beyond the call of duty!
Pacific Steel, we all are very grateful to Mr. Andrew Hibbert, Mrs. Jane McLaren and all the fine Folks at Pacific Steel for being so very helpful and kindly supporting this important garden project. You are True Champions and this wouldn't have happened without all your help and support.
Thanks also to: Bay Engineering for supplying all the great tools; Professional Gardeners Services who helped with clearing; Mrs. Chris Forrest and Cynarra Keeble for administrative support from Housing New Zealand; Pacific Growers and Zealandia Nurseries for making the garden products and beautiful seedlings so affordable.
Sincere 'thank you' to the New Zealand Police Mangere Team, especially the Mangere East Neighbourhood Policing Team Sergeant Andrew Graham with assistance from Police-persons Blake James and Kathy Rose whose support and vision from the start has made this project possible.
May you all and the Children, Community and gardens that you are growing be Eternally Blessed and become bountiful and prosper!
