Viscaria

This dainty perennial also known as German Catchfly is easily raised from seed for a spectacular summer show. Usually treated as an annual this lovely cut flower is not fussy about soil but does prefer a warm, sunny spot that drains well.

Excellent for mass plantings, borders, rockeries and in pots, hardy viscaria has few pests and blooms for months even on the coast. Easily transplanted, seed planted now  will normally come into bloom in about 3 months.

By planting every couple of weeks a near continual display of delicate pastel colour can be had all summer.
